Standardized Assessments

Throughout the school year, our Blackhawk Elementary students will participate in benchmark assessments using the STAR Testing tool. Students are assessed in the areas of Reading and Math. Students will complete this assessment three to six times throughout the course of the school year. 

 

Each Spring, South Beloit School District students, in grades 3rd thru 8th grade also participate in the state assessment, known as the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR). This assessment is comprised of English Language Arts and Math concepts, tailored to each grade level.
